Why are you so mad? I know you got pwnd by Bri in the other thread, but your team is in the Playoff, life is good.

Don't be so mad, Fulmer is gone, he can't hurt you anymore.

If that's true then how is Mizzou's handed down?

I honestly don't know either, Marcus Nash, Peerless Price and Peyton came through in the clutch.

My question is how did Florida and Spurrier go 4 years in a row winning an SEC Championship and only get one national championship out of it? (The other national championship was an arse kicking by Nebraska and the other championship was a mulligan too)

Dumbass. Everybody knows you can't win the national championship if you don't win your conference. Hell, you weren't even division winners in '93

And only won the East because of easier draws from the West.

Winning national titles was more of a beauty contest in those days. It still is to some degree. Typically the champion was predetermined and crowned long before the games were played. Those Florida teams were seen as soft. They didn't play defense. Look at the champions in the same time frame and you'll see the teams selected looked more like what writers, coaches wanted winning football to look like.

Auburn does have a selector who named them national champion though. 1941, 1941, 1941!!!

93: Lost close games to @ #4 Auburn and #1 Florida State.
94: Lost close games to #9 Auburn and vs. #4 FSU (after tying them in Tallahassee).
95: Played the goat team.

We did go 3-0 against Alabama in the SECCG though.

Edit: Maybe we should claim 95 despite losing our bowl like y'all did?
