Rocky Top is just a Nashville pop song about a mountain in Tennessee. Unlike real fights songs that are written by a student/alumni and actually reference the school and football team
Just imagine if LSU played Louisiana Saturday Night, or Bama Sweet Home Alabama, or Georgia Georgia on My Mind, or Florida fricking Margaritaville...constantly all game.
Of course everyone would dislike it. It's stupid

A song about a backwards region cut off from modern communication, where federal agents are murdered and the residents have sex with animals. It fits UT like a glove, so good for them.
