SEC Basketball Non-Conference Schedules

Unconfirmed, but best guess for UK

Crappy teams in Rupp
Good teams not in Rupp

Maybe so. The original link from Umass just said Thanksgiving week. Your link indicates Friday and Saturday dates. The Legends Classic is being played on Monday and Tuesday. Had no idea they had two that week.
oh ok makes sense

I hope MSU steps up their non conference scheduling. Our RPI is embarassing every year and a detriment to the whole conference. I'll take som games against ETSU and MTSU over prairie view A&M and alcorn state

Ben Howland may be trying to do 1 of 2 things:

1. Schedule a weak non-conference so he can win more games, have a better record at the end of the year, and be able to show off that record to recruits. I know that's what some coaches do.

Or

2. He could be hoping to pile up wins against easy teams hoping it'll give his team momentum and confidence and then hoping they can pull off an upset or two against someone like Kentucky and that be enough to make the NCAA tourney.

Iowa State went to a Final Four in 1944

Oklahoma State has been to 6 Final Fours between 1945 and 2004

Missouri has never been to a Final Four

So you are saying Missouri basketball is close to Iowa State basketball?

Just did a little digging and Barnes said this will be an even more challenging OOC schedule than last season.

We played
Wisconsin
Oregon
@ North Carolina
Gonzaga
Georgia Tech
Kansas State
@ ETSU

last year, so we must be drawing Arizona in Atlantis and have another big fish in the OOC that hasn't been reported.

North Carolina
@ Georgia Tech
@ Wake Forest
3 games in Atlantis
Furman (likely tourney team)
Indiana or Virginia

Is pretty tough especially if we draw Arizona and/or Nova in the Bahamas. Not sure about tougher than last year. Not sure whether we're in SEC/B12 challenge or not either.

We don't know much of ours yet. We have the PK80 Invitational Tournament, we host FSU and Michigan State. Also should have a home game in the SEC/Big12 Challenge.

Maui Invitational

Should be a good tournament. I love LSU already getting some early national exposure.

LSU
Notre Dame
Michigan
Wichita State
Cal
VCU
Marquette

I certainly hope so. I know we dialed down the OOC schedule starting in 2013 (Rick Ray's second year)because we took our lumps in 2012 against the likes of UNC in Maui. But, at this point, it needs to improve.
