When people make these lists they often seem to forget that the schools with the most conference wins/championships have been in the conference for 60 more years than USC and Arkansas.

i really don't see why the regular season title matters at all- it's basketball, which is all about the tourney.

Exactly, THE tourney is all that matters and no we haven't been good lately at all. But we sure kicked arse there for awhile.

1. ncaa tourney success
2. conference regular season performance
3. conference tourney performance
it's a clear cut order for college basketball in the big conferences (in tiny conferences, you have to switch 2 and 3 which is dumb. rules should change).
