Because of his antics and walk up song although it was a metaphor for his pitching AT THE BEGINNING

So it was a metaphor for his pitching because he plunked batters. Georgia plunks a lot of batters.

Yes, Wild Thing was wild, and remembered as such. I don't remember coming away from the movie and thinking, "man, he sure was a strikeout king" but more of"get out of the fricking way, its Wild Thing"

But as for stats, they put a gorilla exhibit in Baum stadium this year.
