Alot of the "unexpected" was expected by most SEC baseball fans.
But Wait. Tennessee got swept?

Big series with Mizzou coming to Brick City this coming weekend.
The East looks like a beast ... again.

South Carolina’s comb is getting red.
Hope they keep it going.

Not sure what’s more depressing, last years #1 team getting swept or the fact they never made it to Omaha

It's going-to-be an outstanding series.
I'll be in South Florida with the grandkids hunting pythons ... but I've got some great tickets for someone (Gamecock fans) who want to sit behind the Gamecocks' dugout for this series.

Kinda ... sorta ... a little gamier but it makes a great stew.
I'm more in it this year for a few good skins for the bounty, a hat band or two or three, a set of boots for myself and my wife wants a python purse for her CWP carry purse.
Plus they just need to be thinned-out big time. They're coming this way too fast and they're worse than gators ... they're starting to munch too many family pets down there.
Son in Law and I are hosting a fried python party for the FAU game.

And in comes a tehc fan. IQs just plummeted.

That’s cool, sounds like a lot of fun. Do you shoot them or what method do you use to harvest them.
How much is the bounty? This would be a rush to do.

Typically we get $50 for the first four feet and $25 for each additional foot afterwards ... IF we post them to the PEP bounty board and collect. This year we're posting but keeping the meat and hides.
During the roundups top prizes can go for as much as $3k. Nests bring extra money. Biggest nest we've ever found was 14 eggs but I've heard of guys finding nests with over 30 eggs and big females guarding.
My SiL is licensed so he usually pops them with a Ruger Mk III 22LR of his or, sometimes, if we can get close enough and distract the big ones and keep from being bitten ... we'll do a machete beheading. I try to severe them cleanly a foot or so behind the head so I can mount them if they're big enough. 6" or less I'm just going for the belt or hat band this year.
Now is the time, while it's cool weather, to catch them along the black tops trying to warm up.

This SC team has been impressive so far, but the schedule has not been the toughest. The SEC is a gauntlet so let's hope they keep it up. Looking forward to a good series with Mizzou next weekend.

Scrooster, that sounds awesome. Not sure I would do the barehanded catches like some of these folks.
The lady on the right caught this bad boy solo.

Mizzou is always a game that makes me cringe regardless of sport. It's like a curse for us. It seems we have the itis and can't get over owning mizzou. Should be a great series, but I wouldn't be shocked if they come in and take 2 out of 3. I hope I eat those words!!!

Not looking forward to going to Baton Rouge this weekend with a 13 game win streak on the line.
