William and Mary had a left handed reliever that came in sitting 94-95 with cut and a filthy slider. Their starter had some nasty stuff too and had our guys off balance with his quick pitching. We slowed him down and when we got guys on base and that's when he struggled. They had a couple of legit guys on the mound and a freshman that hit a home run in his first career AB, then an RBI double in his second AB, both going opposite field. They really impressed me. That's a team I wouldn't want to see in a regional or a super, they got potential to be pretty damn good.

UF struggled to get hits in big moments, I think they were like 4-21 batting with runners on base. They had the bases loaded and nobody out and only scored once, they had second and third with nobody out and scored those runs on an error and a passed ball. They need to get better but I think they'll be fine.

I'm so happy baseball is back. Good luck to y'all until Hoover

TCU is going to be to 2017 college baseball as UCONN is to women's college basketball. Those sumbitches might go undefeated.

"In 2017, the Horned Frogs return eight of nine field starters, their entire starting rotation and their closer. In addition, the Frogs welcomed a group of 11 newcomers, a group that was ranked in the top 10 nationally by three different publications. Five Frogs were tabbed preseason All-Americans."

Wasn't at the OM game but watched on SEC Network + ... ECU looks the part ... Big physical hitters at the top of the order and throughout the middle of it... They had some defensive lapses thay cost them yesterday.

Small sample size of course but it's easy to see why Kendall Rogers picked them as a top 8 seed.

State had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 8th and 9th against Texas Tech and couldn't get the big hit. Over 10,000 in attendance for opening day though.

That right there is some typical Gump nonsense when it comes to college baseball.

They knocked us out of a regional one year. Surprisingly good program.

No one has ever gone undefeated in the modern era. A&M only had 3 losses at the end of the regular season in '89 but then got beat in the super vs. LSU. Here is an old rant discussing the topic.
