Maybe there were some post season games not counted or something like that.

A&M has always been good at baseball. No NC's but a ton of conference titles. We have always had great attendance and support to go with a nice stadium. Olsen was way ahead of its time when it was built and the Blue Bell Park at Olsen renovation has made it into a real showplace.

Missouri better prepare their ANUS. They gon' get raped in SEC baseball. They could be worse than Tennessee and Bama were last year.
Missouri did win the Big 12 tournament last year, A&M is usually good.

First thought for one of our newcomers, A&M's Blue Bell Park has the prettiest facade's any college baseball park can offer. I think it's even prettier than some MLB parks. That said, the overall stadium is behind LSU, SC, and Ark.

I can't wait for baseball. I actually enjoy baseball season on the SECr and TigerRant because only people who really know what they're talking about talk about it, since baseball is somewhat of an after thought to most fans. You can tell when someone doenst know what the frick they are talking about.

I will be headed to see my Tigers play at State and likley at Bama. I've been to Bama for baseball once before but never to State (for baseball). Should be fun.

As opposed to the last couple of seasons, I expect the West to outperform the East. Vandy is on a downward trend and UF's 3 year run of ridiculousness is also on a downward trend. I still think it's hilarious they never won a CWS with the talent they had in 2010-2012. SC will continue to play great ball even without Tanner IMO (at least for the time being). We might see a downward trend in the long run but I doubt that. And Kentucky to me was just an anomoly last year. Where the frick did that come from?

But back to the West. The addition of the Aggies makes our very competitive division even more elite (it was kind of strange typing that). LSU should be improved on the offensive side of the ball with Katz, Rhymes, and Jacoby returning and the addition of Alex Bregman who will make an immediate impact. We will have to work out some things pitching-wise though.

I do think State will surprise people this year. They lost like 3 players last year. I know one was Strat, but their pitching staff was SICKENING last year. It was actually fun to watch their end of the year run. Oh, yeah and Hunter Renfroe about to grind some folks. Sleeper for SEC POY.

Ole Miss returns Wahl and Meyers. Glad to see that frick Snyder graduate. He always seemed to hurt us every year. Although their pitching wasnt great last year, returning your top two arms is always a great thing.

I believe Ark returns all three of their stud pitchers Astin, Stanek, and Baxendale. I could be wrong about DJ though. Did he sign with the Twins after getting drafted in the 10th round? Either way, Astin and Stanek are top 10 SEC arms IMO.

Bama will likely suck. Auburn seems to continue to be irrelevant in my eyes even though they beat us 2/3 last year.

That's it for my ramblings guys. Can't wait to go back to Omaha.

Can't wait to have you. It may not be the nicest anymore but we are gonna have a strong team, and when LSU comes to town it should be a site for someone who has never been there. Definitely unique.

And as I'm getting excited about baseball season in September, I just receive this news...

@ScarboroughMike: RT @bldore: #LSU pitcher Joe Broussard has an elbow injury and will undergo Tommy John surgery later this week. Broussard will miss the 2013 season

Arkansas didn't even compete in the SWC in baseball until sometime in the late 70s, IIRC. A&M had strong teams pretty much throughout Arkansas' time competing in SWC baseball. With regard to LSU, I think most of those games were pre-Skip Bertman.

You are correct, sir. DeBriyn's first year at Arkansas was 1970. We really didn't turn into a powerhouse until 79-90. Then we had a decade of meh until Van Horn came back.

So which team with a former Northwestern St coach is going to do better this year?

Arky, Bama, A&M, or Miss St?(hint, it probably won't be Bama)

Northwestern St, baseball's cradle of coaches, seriously.
