Just a little confused why a Bama fan is even in this thread.

Know your place, Butch.

Figure out how to respond and you won't have this issue. And please, leave your butching at home.

Sorry bro. I was too busy celebrating my team going to Supers to notice. You know how that is.

Well, you probably don't. My bad.

Baseball only. You don't get to brag until September.

according to the point system in the op both lsu and Carolina have as many points this year than Missouri has total

5 SEC teams have more than Miz this year than they have since the field expanded.

well arbitrary rankings are arbitrary.

But there is reason to why I picked 99 so it isn't arbitrary. Try again and make some more excuses for your fanbase and program.

My only recommended tweak would be if you're counting "hosting a super" by default versus someone who earned a national seed. They're not the same. Like arkansas getting it over Missouri state who had to give up their stadium for a minor league series, or carolina this year who would have traveled to clemson if clemson wasn't clemson.

true, you should get credit for hosting a super and credit for being a national seed. outside that, hosting a super is not something you earned but fell into

Both State and Arkansas have 1 CWS Final appearance but Arkansas has more recent success. What I am saying is that On a National scale, Arkansas and State are neck and neck in "tradition." But, The Hogs blow yall out of the water in every other sport. Congrats on the SEC baseball Title this year.

Oh, well since we are doing 1999 until, MSU has won a basketball conference title and several SEC basketball tourney titles too. Let me see how you match up with us there also. By the way, since you live in today, you better step it up in football, we've been beating you there the last few seasons. The topic was baseball but you had to bring up other sports huh? Thanks a million!

Good point. What do you think? Remove super host and give a point for national seeds.

Solid point. Maybe something like:

1 Point for being a national seed
1 point for making a super (+1 for hosting)

It still gives credit for making and getting to host, even if it's by default, but also for being a national seed even if you don't make it out of regionals.

That might be a good way to add in some regular season love wothout having to win a championship. I think yes. Would also be easier to look up that statistic.

I wouldn't remove the bonus for hosting. Just add in a +1 or +2 for being a national seed.

Yeah, i like what rb10 say. National exposure for hosting regardless of how it comes about i think only helps prestige.

I appreciate you doing this. However, I think SEC Regular Season Champion should be included. It is far, far more difficult to win a SEC Title than simply "Make a Regional". The regular season has to be worth something. I believe regular season championships are always highly coveted and valuable to the team's playing.

I agree that regular season should count for more, but he is also staying as close to neutral as possible by only using post season since A&M and Mizzou were in another conference most of the time. Also regular season is built into his point total a little with the bonus points. It takes good regular seasons to get those points for hosting regionals and supers.

Where did I make excuses?

Seems like this thread is a way for aTm to get their participation trophy.
