Basically the way I see it, the league will only have 4 host sites this year and two national seeds. Obviously, things could possibly change with the outcome of the SEC Tourney, but honestly I do not see much changing.

Florida Gators
Overall Record: 40-15
League Record: 21-9
League Finish: 1st
RPI: 3
SOS: 2
vs. Top 50: 21-11
Away Record: 14-7
Hawgeye Prediction: National Seed locked

LSU Tigers
Overall Record: 38-17
League Record: 21-9
League Finish: 1st
RPI: 8
SOS: 4
vs. Top 50: 20-13
Away Record: 12-10
Hawgeye Prediction: National Seed semi-locked. Win first game of tourney=lock.

Kentucky Wildcats
Overall Record: 38-18
League Record: 19-11
League Finish: 3rd
RPI: 7
SOS: 5
vs. Top 50: 18-13
Away Record: 12-13
Hawgeye Prediction: Host locked. Needs to win SECt to gain national seed.

Arkansas Razorbacks
Overall Record: 39-15
League Record: 18-11
League Finish: 4th
RPI: 14
SOS: 39
vs. Top 50: 15-11
Away Record: 12-9
Hawgeye Prediction: Host locked. Needs to win SECt to gain national seed.

Mississippi State Bulldogs
Overall Record: 34-22
League Record: 17-13
League Finish: 5th
RPI: 30
SOS: 21
vs. Top 50: 14-15
Away Record: 11-11
Hawgeye Prediction: 2 seed at Hattiesburg Regional. Needs to win SECt for host.

I just don't see that really...here is the way I see it. Mainly thinking the way the NCAA selectors will think. They're going to want at least a chance for 2 Supers on the West coast, which means realistically those can only come from the Pac 12. Long Beach State just doesn't have a resume close to being a national seed, Stanford does. So Stanford gets the nod...as long as they take care of business these last four games.

1. Oregon State matched with Long Beach
2. North Carolina matched with Lexington
3. Florida matched with Charlottesville
4. Louisville matched with Winston-Salem
5. Texas Tech matched with Fayetteville
6. LSU matched with Clemson
7. TCU matched with Hattiesburg
8. Stanford matched with Tuscon

Stanford?

RPI outside the top 8
Only 36 wins
SOS outside the top 50
Likely not going to win their conference

I know the committee likes to help out the west and north, but I'm not seeing it.

I know that. They usually pair them up with other regionals. What regional with Kentucky? Surely not Louisville?

Only wins over D1 competition count. So LSU has 38 wins. Just like basketball.

Thank you. I could see us a rematch with UNC.

Lsu also has the most wins in the country against the top 50 rpi at 21

So not sure where the numbers are coming from

Yep

RPI is 11, which is plenty high enough.
36 wins with still 4 regular season games remaining. Legit chance to sweep all 4 which would put them 40-14 overall
SOS is 36, not out of the top 50
They won't win it but they will finish second with a 21-9 or 20-10 record.

I bet they'll try not to match two teams from the same conference.

I don't think they'll send the #2 overall seed a team as good as Kentucky.

I would flip Arkansas to be paired with UNC. Kentucky paired with TCU. Southern Miss paired with Louisville.

No it only doesn't count in your rpi, not your actual record

They've done it before. Not too long ago actually, but that could have been just SEC hate.

I know, but I wouldn't project that they're going to do it again. Probably something they try to avoid.
