Don't get all caught up in mid week games. If State wins this series this weekend, they will be in the top 15. Mid week games are meaningless.

Not caught up in them at all, just surprised that a win drops someone that much with this many games played. RPI usually is highly erratic early and settles out as more games have been played.

State was just the example used as I noticed it of course.

Your numbers are wrong. The rant told me that LSU is terrible, especially our ability to hit and score runs.

The Tiger Rant does have a bit of a point. LSU's numbers in SEC play are not near as good as they are here on what I posted. Thats likely what you hear griped about. The numbers being put up against SEC starting pitching, etc.

I think LSU is a good team. Should there be some criticisms? Sure. Does it always warrant an end of the world meltdown by some tiger ranters? No.

You guys played #291 at home last night. Win or lose, its going to drop your RPI. You couple that with Arkansas going on the road and beating then #21 RPI Missouri State, LSU beating a top 80 RPI team at a neutral site, and you can see why those two teams jumped back ahead of MS State.

Im not going through all the teams that were above State today, but just using those as an example.

In general, playing a team that is that low like State did is going to hurt your RPI numbers, unless you are playing them on the road.

Just my two cents.
