When people criticize Vandy for being shitty at other sports, they need to look at baseball and realize what Vandy CAN do if they actually want to. For whatever reason their administration loves baseball and hasn't spared any expense to make them competitive. They literally choose not to do so in other sports. It's not because they can't They could absolutely be Stanford in football if they wanted to be.
My point is stop complaining and be glad they don't want to. They've got more money than any of the rest of us. Stop poking the damn bear and be glad they are content with the situation.

Hate to say it, but UGA has one of the worst facilities, not to mention, the smallest stadium in the SEC. Not sure if they could expand it if they wanted -- it's hemmed in on all sides. They would have to build a new facility from scratch.

Vandy isn't anywhere near the big boys of college sports when it comes to athletic dollars.

On the books, Texas A&M has the most $ in this conference. Off the books, if it's anyone other than Vanderbilt I would be absolutely shocked.
Yes, Georgia has a very affluent booster base. And brings in a lot of revenue.
Kentucky does too but we get constantly tossed aside and treated like shite because of how our football team performs. On the whole we are in the upper half athletically in this conference and have been. Honestly it gets tiresome.
But I digress. The point stands. Vandy's administration has an affinity for baseball and they put real money into it. There's a very real ZFG attitude about football with them. Be glad, that's all I'm saying. They have a lot going for them if they ever choose to exercise it.

Until Arkansas finds a way to not frick itself out a national title, we need to quit the beating our chest of other achievements regarding baseball. Mississippi State and Ole Miss as well.

Sure. Id say its nice being a top rated program in baseball. Certainly makes up for football and basketball. The natty loss sucked, but blessed to have a baseball program like ours.

How much do they have to spend to win National titles in baseball vs. how much would they have to spend to even compete for the East in football? The HC alone would run 3.5M+, the stadium, IPF, locker room upgrades would be huge. Maybe they understand their limited budget and hard ceiling in football and chose to make a big splash in baseball.

Baseball is really hurt by Travel Ball. Expensive sport that excludes a lot of good athletes who migrate to Basketball or Football instead. Yes, some poorer athletes are helped, but most are not.

Arkansas is also going through a 30 million dollar renovation at Baum Walker Stadium as well.
