Let's just say the box will have the largest fan turnout and it won't be close, and we leave it at that.

*average attendance. Mississippi State adds another top 25 attendance record every year... Our fans travel so we should help break some attendance records. If i knew we would make it through our regional i would have made plans to go. i didn't see this crazy run though. it is gonna be rowdy and i wish i was there

just like everywhere else

The difference will be the amount of opposing team fans in the stadium, the two teams playing average tops in attendance every single year and they both travel better than most any others.

The Box will be packed and boisterous even in 2 inch an hour rain.

Not hating on any other SR but none will come close to this one

long beach was pretty raucous this past weekend. add the fact that this is their first super in over a decade and against a west coast rival, you better believe that place will be rockin
No offense to either club or their fanbase, but having been to post season tournaments at both on more than one occasion, there is no comparing them to Alex Box or a few other venues in SEC.

Are we all getting our panties in a wad over exactly how crazy the crowds will be this weekend?

There should be good crowds everywhere. If there are representatives of both fanbases and a close game then it'll be nuts. If it's a shite game then it won't.

I personally hope Olsen is boring and filled with bubbles as we smash Davidson by 10.

I'm certainly not and expect respectable crowds/atmosphere everywhere. Just responding to a specific post.

Because he doesn't know it is the incorrect word...

After all, he probably thinks his team will decimate other teams.

Can we revisit this?

LSU? Sure

MSU? Ummm... nah. MSU is a solid program. Much like A&M, Arkansas, or Vandy (pre-national title) over the last 20 years. Out of the 4, I'd say MSU is the bottom of the pecking order.

Super Regionals at The Box always have an energy more like a football game than a baseball game. I'm looking forward to it!

I disagree. Vandy for sure has the edge because of titles but I think State is a slightly better program than A&M or Arkansas.

I can see your point and can't really disagree. I was mainly just trying to make the point that these are 2 well respected baseball programs that are usually somewhat relevant and just so happen to be in the same conference, in the same division and are playing for a chance at Omaha in the best college baseball environment in the nation.

I just feel this one will have a little extra "juice"

That is why I said pre-title. After winning it all, you elevate to another level.

Since the format change MSU, A&M, and Ark have been to 14, 14, and 16 regionals; 12, 12, and 12 regional finals; 8, 7, and 6 Supers; 2, 2, and 4 CWSs, respectively. Pretty even to me.

Yeah if anything they are all on par. MSU is definitely not the leader of that group.
