By the time the SEC sorts out the 9 game schedule and permanent rivals, we will be adding ACC teams and starting all over again.

That's an interesting take. While it would be great to get some teams, it also allows the B1G & XII into our area.

Let’s just balance it out and make it four. I’d like AM AR UK and OU every year in no particular order.

& people complain about selecting 3.

Nope, 3 is the number.
With 3 permanent and 6 rotating games in a 9 game schedule, you only have to create a 4 year schedule. You can then repeat it. Every team would play 3 teams every year and the remaining 12 teams twice every 4 years.
With a 14 team SEC the optimal numbers would have been an 8 game conference schedule where you could do the exact same thing with 3 permanent and 5 rotating.

ATM is in the lower group. Tennessee is in the upper.

Three is the number, and the number shall be three!

With no divisions, the fair thing is 10 games. Give LSU Bama, UF, Auburn, and OU.
Don't want to lose the first 3, want the same team for Rivalry week. Would be fine with the Black Friday Arkansas games.

They are competing currently to see who gets relegated down to the Championship league.

Good luck getting UGA, Florida, SC, & Ky. being okay with only 1 free slot on the schedule.

A five team division? And the Tennessee and Georgia games for Alabama and Auburn?

1 permanent opponent outside of your division.

The five teams per division is still pretty difficult to manage.
If you up the SEC to 20 teams (please God no) then you have four five team divisions? And then you rotate divisions plus a permanent to play ten conference games?
Easier to have four team divisions and stay with sixteen. Eight conference games gets you the same result then plus allows out of conference teams to play.
