You're telling me a group of public Southern schools have smaller endowments than conferences with more private schools and bigger public school systems? Oh noez

ETA: Look at how skewed conferences like the Big 12 are:

1 University of Texas, Austin (System-wide) Austin, Texas $19,374,000,000 (Austin only is $2.8B) 16.3%
2 University of Kansas (System-wide) Lawrence, Kansas $1,250,443,000 18.6%
4 University of Oklahoma (System-wide) Norman, Oklahoma $1,212,023,000 25.1%
3 Texas Christian University Fort Worth, Texas $1,191,900,000 17.3%
5 Baylor University Waco, Texas $1,003,929,000 15.1%
7 Texas Tech University Lubbock, Texas $890,930,000 14.9%
6 Oklahoma State University Stillwater, Oklahoma $681,744,000 37.7%
8 Iowa State University Ames, Iowa $612,283,000 16.4%
National average $497,562,000 17.9%
9 West Virginia University Morgantown, Virginia $392,001,000 16.3%
10 Kansas State University Manhattan, Kansas $337,460,000 21.6%

So Texas has a bigger endowment than the rest of the conference combined. The rest actually have a lower average than the SEC.

Well, there goes the question on if we can pay CJF to stick around when the big jobs come calling. Well, that and rumors that while he does not have a buyout clause, any suitor will be obligated to pay for a large portion of the improvements to Vanderbilt facilities and Vanderbilt Stadium CJF negotiated to be put into his contract. Those improvements come to a total of $31 million. That is one hell of a buyout without having a buyout.

But yeah...why is Vandy being so near the top of this list? Vanderbilt University is a highly esteemed research university with a lot of very wealthy alumni who throw loads of cash at their alma mater to have buildings named after them and junk.

With all that money you would think the best QB is Aggie history, JFF, could have beat LSU just once ...

That number will continue to decline in the future. As the UGA program gets staler, the large amount of money donated to pay for “continuing support” (aka football), will decline.

Why is Texas listed as system wide but Florida and other states are not?

None of this money can be used for athletics anyway so what's the point?

WTF is the deal with Aggies always posting crap like this?

It's part of being an aggie... Almost every aggie I've met has this over inflated ego about A&M. They feel the need to boast about every aspect they can.

Sorry for being ridiculously proud of our alma mater

And also, the bragging thing is hardly unique to A&M--that's more of a Texan thing

Ivy League has a higher average than Big 12, but they suck at sports. what's the correlation you're trying to get at?
