Blame you for what? Spending your time hunched over your keyboard as you furiously search the internet for material to use against "aggy"? No one GAF about some postbellum iowa rag.

You want to steal our tradition? Pay us.

Im not?

Seems you just proved that there are other teams with a better homefield advantage.

Acting like the Seahawks were terrible doesnt help your argument either. Thats just a obviously false.

First season in that stadium was 2002-03

Playoff appearances:

2003
2004
2005
2006
2007
2010

Just TERRIBLE

Seattle is best home field advantage in the NFL and has been since they built that stadium. It's not close

Negative. The Saints win and it's not close.

Nice response.

Is a google search some profound and exhaustive endeavor in Aggieland?

Y'all are just lucky the Seahawks didn't trademark it first. Why did A&M wait until 1990 to finally trademark it?

quote:

The Seattle Seahawks, targets of a restraining order over the phrase "12th Man" in 2005, agreed the following year to pay the university $100,000 up front and $7,500 annually for the right to continue using the slogan at Qwest Field – that, despite the fact that the Seahawks had been using "12th Man" for more than a decade before A&M acquired the trademark in 1990, and even retired the number 12 in honor of its fans in 1984.

Aggie lawyers need to start suing the shite out of European and South American soccer clubs.

quote:

The "12th Man" is even more rampant in international soccer, inspiring dozens of European and South American clubs to retire the number 12 or otherwise designate it as tribute to fans.

LINK

Aw shite... y'all gonna stand for that? Next thing you know those South American soccer clubs will be walking on the wrong grass in College Station or claiming they've won more conference titles than A&M.

Have you trademarked the Aggie algorithm for calculating conference titles yet?

Aggies had little choice.

Seahawks had been using the 12 Man for several years before A&M got around to officially trademarking it.

So it was settled out of court. Aggies got their extortion money and Seahawks found it more than worth their while to just pay the $100k upfront plus $7500 per year going forward. $7500 per year is chump change.

Agreed, but it is better to get paid pittance to protect your IP than to eventually get sued by someone else claiming to own it.

Because it's almost Christmas, I'll point this out:

The Aggies have Robert Earl Keen. The Seahawks do not. No trademark required.

We can both drink to that.

Feliz Navidad.

Here's the full list:

•Lady Tigers ™
•Bayou Bengals ™
•Geaux Tigers ®
•Tiger Bait ™
•Mike the Tiger ™
•Tiger Stadium ™
•Death Valley ™
•Pete Maravich Assembly Center ™
•PMAC ™
•Alex Box Stadium ™
•Maravich Maniacs ™
•Love Purple Live Gold ™
•Stand Right Up and Roar ™

Not sure how our trademark of "Death Valley" was worked out with Clemson.

In general, though, I think LSU is just trying to stop the T-shirt makers and other apparel type folks from making a buck without paying license fees, royalties, etc.

I don't know that LSU has ever sued the Detroit Tigers or Clemson.

We need to trademark "Piss Balloons" with the quickness.

Bandwagon fans who only started to support their team well when they got good in the 2000s? Because I never heard anything about these great Seattle Seahawks fans in the '90s. Fans of the Redskins, Steelers, Packers, Browns, and Chiefs have supported their team well for decades through thick and thin. Those are the best fans in pro football not fricking Seahawks fans.

You must be a newb of a human. LSU fans acquired their reputation as being loud and involved long before you were born.

I could say confidently that more than half of your own fanbase is nothing but sidewalk fans, and most everyone knows this..just saying

LSU fans have always supported the team in past decades, so not sure that you're making any sense here.
