With all due respect, don't 2/3 of SEC teams have playoff talent, but lack the coaching to get that talent to the National Championship? That's how I've always looked at the situation.
Look how many games are won by less than 7 points. Look how many go "down to the wire". I always figured the talent was there, coaching necessarily wasn't.
