The other 3 are probably underselling the attractiveness of the job though.

Strange list. 1 guy who is over qualified and 3 guys who shouldn't sniff that job.

I don't think it is. Are you suggesting the author represents the Alabama fan base or do you think the author is just trolling an article for web hits?

I'd expect the Bama admin to come hard after Bert. He is everything Bama wants/needs in a coach when Saban leaves.

I don't think any of those are likely. Maybe Kirby, if he leaves next year and does really well as a head coach somewhere, but I think all of those are long shots. I expect Bama to go after an established, "big name" coach, when Saban retires. Just depends on who might be available and willing to move at that time.

After Nick Saban hangs ‘em up, Alabama will call Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. And Dabo won’t turn it down. Before you start the outpouring of screaming and yelling, he’d be an excellent fit at Alabama. He can recruit as well or better than anyone in college football, and as long as he’d hire good offensive and defensive coordinators, he could win at Alabama. Most folks will Kirby Smart, and I’m fine with that. However, I’m going wildcard and picking Dabo Swinney.

I don't think Pete will be running to take the Bama job. I think he'll end up passing.

I believe Bielema has the Hawgs on the rise. His stock should keep climbing.

Of the 4 listed, he would be the most likely and ready to go guy.

Not happening, Pete will retire when his time at the Seahawks is up.

Lane Kiffin

Lane needs to spend another season or 2 at Bama and then go coach at an AAC or lower tier P5 school. It is one thing to learn as an OC, it is another thing to actually do it. If Lane could win at a NC State or UCF then he would be ready to take over the keys to that double wide.

No, just the normal level of AU reading comprehension.

I would first think: "Why in God's name would Pete Carroll come to Alabama!" Then I realized that the article was by SDS.

Wow, at least one of you knows how to read.

Isn't Jimbo Fisher an Alabama guy? I could see them going after him once Saban quits

Why not add Jesus to the list? bama has about as good of a shot at Pete as they do Jesus or Jehovah.

Pete isn't coming to Bama, but this is the same shite most of you said in December 2006 when Bama fans dared to think Saban would leave the NFL for lowly Bama.
