Winslow is probably the right choice for Missouri, but James Wilder and Jeremy Maclin were my two all time favorites.

Alabama - Derrick Thomas ...I'd agree that he was the best overall.

Never even heard of the UK or Vandy guys

Babe Parilli was a QB in the NFL & AFL for 17 years. He was a 2 time consensus all-american (finishing 4th in the Heisman race) and, later, a 3 x AFL all-star.

With that being said, by the time his career is over...Randall Cobb will be the best football player in UK history.

I agree! I'd also put Von Miller and potentially Myles Garrett in that discussion.

In addition to Bambi...Id also probably put Dan Hampton, Steve Atwater, and now Jason Peters in front of McFadden going off of success just not at Arkansas, but the NFL.

One of the most ridiculous things on this board is when Alabama fans say this while trying to shite on Tyrann Mathieu in the same thread.

The irony is strong.

Derrick Thomas is a strong choice, no doubt. Don Hutson would be a strong contender as well. Dude set NFL receiving records in the 40's that were still standing when Jerry Rice finally arrived to break them in the 80's.

There's nothing 'electric' about a DE/JACK linebacker.

So, no shite a guy that plays CB and also a punt returner is going to be more electric. I'd still take DT over him anyday. 27 sacks in one season? Unheard of. He also had 7 sacks in one game vs the Seahawks, which still stands as an NFL record today as the most sacks in one game.

Finally, a logical response to this issue from a Bama fan. I don't know many people who'd argue that Derrick Thomas isn't one of the best players of all time. He was a monster.

A year from now I don't think anyone can argue that you can insert LF for Cannon.
Cannon won the heisman; won the Walter Camp trophy; 2× Unanimous All-American; won LSU a national championship; jersey retired at LSU; was picked #1 overall in the draft; & is in the college football hall of fame.

You expecting Fournette to do all this?

I honestly thought he should have won the Heisman that year or at worst 2nd.

Mathieu was an awful cover corner. He wasn't even the best DB on that LSU team.

No one is saying Emmitt wasn't a badass, but no one includes Emmitt in a top 5-10 list of the greatest College players of all time.

Agree, Winslow was a beast in college and the NFL.

Wilder and Maclin are tied for second. Like other programs, many top-line players after that. Johnny Roland, Joe Moore, Roger Wehrli, Tony Galbreath, Brad Smith, Paul Christman and Justin Smith.

John David Crowe for A&M, maybe the best white back I have ever seen.
