I have great respect for Tebow - incredible talent and competitor. But Meyer just seems like a whiner to everyone outside of Gainesville. He needs to learn there is such a thing as legitimate criticism (which Mathews offered).
To Meyer's credit he recruits with the best of 'em and has two NC rings. The way to deal with him is to win on the field.

This is Germans and the whole story was not told.
Coach Meyer was actually referring to some statement that Matthews supposedly made that could potentially hurt recruiting. Shane was rumored to say that if he was a QB or WR he would not go to FL.
This is not something you want a former player to say when has a platform like Shane does on the radio.
I personally don't think Coach Meyer should have addressed it this way but he did.
I also don't mind that you guys hate him. If he was losing you would spend any time on him.
Oh, and Kige, your emoticon posts are the greatest.

So Gator- let me get your opinion on Meyer telling everyone that if you criticize them or him, you're not a "true Gator". I mean, seriously? He should be kissing Shane Matthews and Spurrier's arse he's there in the first place.
Meyer is the king, and he pretty much can do whatever he wants, except for say, sign up a convicted rapist. The Zook years showed how quickly a good thing can go bad, and Meyer has a great thing going on at the moment. Shane Matthews unlike what a real man would do and meet with Meyer behind closed doors to discuss any problems he may have, acted like a bitch and bad mouthed the program(offense)over radio and was telling recruits(Back up QB John Brantley for example) he wouldn't play in this offense. Screw him. If he can't get over his jealousy and Spurrier obsession, he needs to move up to Columbia before SOS is run out of town up there.

Yes Jay, he does have a radio show in Gainseville no less. The criticism that Urban complained about publicly was in reference the "wouldn't go to FL" type. I assure you he doesn't care if Shane does not like the offense. Heck, many fans still don't like it and long for Spurriers Fun and Gun style.
It's just not going to happen with Urban.
