So it wasn't about a coach?

Congrats on the facility improvements. Sounds nice

That's the first time I've eve been to your board.

Yeah, I'm interested in your coaching search...

1. We also have one going on
2. We play you every year

See a lot of tunnel vision and people convinced he's already the coach.

Where is this tunnel vision? There are no fewer than five of us who don't think Herman is legit, and that Smart is more likely for many reasons.

You said an announcement was coming Monday (also that it's a HR).

If an announcement is coming Monday, you'd have to have the contract approved and that meeting would have to be on public docket. That's how this works

So what is it?

I did not "say" anything ... I typed something. And what I typed was that it could come as early as Monday the 30th of November. "It could, let's keep our fingers crossed," or something to that effect.

Okay, let's check your reading skills real quick. I have this saying, it's mine, I invented it ... I've told my kids this since they were little bitty things and now I am telling my grandkids this ... let's see if you "get it" JQ.

"The limits of your vocabulary will mark the boundaries of your vocation."

So tell me ... what do you do for a living?

Or do you not understand the difference between what I typed in that thread versus what you claimed in this thread?

You read the thread, you brought the thread out here to the main board for a purpose ... a reason, we must assume.

What are your intentions? To what end do you desire this thread reach?

I am assuming that this is driven by jealousy - the type one might come to expect from you mizzourites.

First there was your shite show of a dumpster fire #MizzouBoycott followed by our little, extremely respectful march by fifty students with no football players involved.

That seemed to infuriate you, the fact that SCAR once again totally outclassed Mizzou. That there was no national media coverage, no outrage, no one was fired here ... everyone walked away happy and friendly.

Now there is a coaching search and it appears we're going to land our number one target.

Once again we are looking down upon you, rhetorically speaking, like big brothers do to little brothers at times.

So what is the purpose of this thread JQ? Take the peen out of your pie hole for a moment and just spit it out ... your intentions that is. Make yourself clear man, for gosh's sake. Just spit it out, quit beating around the bush and making up things as you go.

Lol.

So you'll play that game huh? Whoever you hire was your first choice?

It's obvious who the fans first choice is. You SAID it would be a HR hire that they were discussing at a BOC meeting today (that wasn't even about a coach).

Like I said, when its not Herman how are you going to react and you finally answered me. Thank you.

Dantonio would be an absolute grand slam. SC would be scary as hell with him.

Not only a great coach, but he's not going to jump ship if he has success. If you guys are backing up the truck then that's who I would make say no first.

All of this.

I'm sure Tanner gave him a call. Fact is, Dantonio has a pretty damn good thing going on up there in East Lansing. He'll probably finish his career there.

Probably, but I'd sure as hell make him block my number if I was your AD.

My thinking is the BoT wants to try out a coach who hasn't hit 60 yet. Everyone knows Dantonio is entrenched up there.

Yeah but USC can offer more money at a school that values football more than basketball.

Dantonio will also have the SEC East rather than Harbaugh and Meyer.

He recruits in Georgia and Florida a lot anyway, but this would make his footprint even bigger down in those states.

It's his alma mater.

It's a higher profile conference and job.

Warmer weather.

Better in-state recruits.

A lot of passion for football and unbelievable in-game atmosphere.

I think it's a no-brainer for him, but I don't know where his heart lies. Tanner has to make him a huge priority because he would work wonders at USC.

Still pissed the "protest" at USC didn't play out the way you were desperately praying for?
