He'd be a great hire IMO. He's seen more success in his coaching career than South Carolina's entire program has ever had.
... and your Momma has seen more peen up close than any ten urologists combined.

Are you gonna just ignore all the other coaches USCe had?USCe isn't going to hit the lottery twice and get another HOF Coach.
A lot of up and coming coaches were taken last year and this year you have USC and Miami looking for coaches at exactly the same time.
I think USCe is going to have to dig deeper than Justin Fuente.

Landing Spurrier was insane and exciting as hell. We had Lou before that. I seriously have no idea which direction we're trying to go. As fans most of us want to see a younger coach at this point.

Ummmm .... USC has had two consecutive HOF coaches here, or are you just gonna ignore Holtz?
USC has hired plenty of good coaches over the years since the sixties ... Paul Dietzel, Jim Carlin, Joe Morrison, Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier.
Sparky Woods and Brad Scott were the two bad hires.
USC has several things going in our favor in no particular order.
A rabid fan base.
Outstanding facilities.
A member of the SEC.
A big bank account.
Fertile recruiting area.
Geographic location near large recreational and fishing lakes, the mountains and the beaches.
We're in the SEC East ... so it's not as daunting at the moment.
Strong, unique, brand and big money donors supporting it financially.
Solid academics.
Mild weather, climate.
Relatively low cost of living.
Conservative populace.
etc., etc., etc.
I'm not gong to argue with you ... just telling you that you are wrong, that's all.
Oh, and Miami is not going to compete with SC for the same coaches we are after and, if we do, we'll beat them for the coach.
SoCal is not going to go after the same names with the possible exception of Herman at Houston ... they would win that battle.
Maryland, WVA, Va Tech, UCF ... they are no competition for us in our coaching search.

That boat sailed so long ago.....all Foster has done is play the leave for HC job schtick in order to get raises in salary. He's CFB's version of Peter who cried Wolf, and that window has closed.....

I honestly don't think they get either one.
We're willing to shell out up to $6 mill/year. We'll get whoever we damn well please, thank you very much.

Like I said you're not getting either one.
Jeff Brohm will be solid for you guys.

Would be a winning hire IMO

Did ya know that our plane was in Plano, TX (suburb of HOUSTON) a few days ago...with Tanner aboard?
Besides hiring the search firm that was the intermediary between Fuente and Memphis, wonder what else he might have been in Houston for.

That dude will never be a head coach. He stuck around at VaTech way too long. I think he would suck as a head coach.

So you're telling me that 2 HC from 2 undefeated teams are interviewing WHILE the season is still going on?

Ummm....no. But it is very interesting that we hired the same firm that was involved with Fuente going to Memphis. And you do realize back channeling exists, right?
On another note..Tanner has formed a 7 person advisory committee to assist in the hiring of our next HC.
My absolute favorite member of that committee?
None other than Marcus Lattimore.

Not bullshir, Hyman as much as we disliked him set us up well in the financial side of things. We have about 10-12mil for new staff and to fire old staff.

Actually it's very true to the dismay of many ppl. BOTs have approved the HC salary up to $6 mill/yr BEFORE incentives.

We'd have to drink a helluva lot more than a few to hire him.
