Smart man.
I have told customers that my service wasn't right for them and walked away. There are times when you know the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Being the heir apparent you will have to take more shite than the average employee.

Oh hell yeah I will. I get more shite than anyone... I messed up one of the Bill of Lading numbers on one of the tickets and I got shite on for it. The drivers who have been there my whole life even frick with me but they know the difference between when I'm playing and being serious. I personally haven't earned their respect yet but I will then I can make big boy decisions. I have to earn that first before I try shite like that. I also don't want to be the owners son. frick that bullshite I want people to know me for who I am not my dads accomplishments with all respect

The quickest way to get them on your side is to be one of them. Do their work with them to learn what it is like. Just know respect doesn't transfer because of blood.

I know you have fun here but you seem to have perspective. You'll do fine. DONT BE A BOSS. Ever. Be a leader and empathize and you will get much respect as you start helping your Dad with duties.

I'm sure you know all this already

Thanks for the advice! I'm always open to hearing what people have to say! And yes I'm totally different in person than I am on here For the most part. I like to have fun and mess around

If you're up around 12 look on tRant haha it'll be there! I promise!

It's funny because as much as me and my dad have the same attitude, I'm totally different with him it really does take a lot to get me pissed. I brush a lot of things off and just go on with my day. I'm not a combative person but if I have to be I will. My dad doesn't take any shite from anyone and it worked out good on his part but he also have a very kind side

The small town mentality? Like being in your business and small thinking?

Yeah just really judge mental. Seems like the parents act like they are still in HS. The way I was treated by my ex's parents after we broke up was absurd. Especially after how good I treated them and their daughter. It was ridiculous. I don't like losing people, I was with her for over two years that was like my second family and for them to do that just seemed tacky to me and she cheated on me after all that and I'm the bad guy. Her sisters still really like me and I'll go catch up with them when I'm in town but I invited her dad to the LSU vs State baseball game and he didn't even respond shite like that. I just wanted to have a few beers and catch up with a guy who I was really close to

People can frick with me as much as they want on this site about this subject but I really was done extremely wrong by them as a whole. It was disappointing

That's small towns everywhere. Very sheltered mentalities.

I understand how you feel though, that's pretty shitty of the Dad but his little princess would probably throw a shite fit so he used smarts

Knowing how that count is. You're probably right. I agree though it's not just mississippi small towns its small towns everywhere.

It's their loss though bc in a really good guy and I treated their daughter better than anyone will and I fully believe that. I ent over backwards for that girl. I was never in Baton Rouge for my senior year in high school. I just gave it up for her...can you believe that shite? When you think you love someone it makes you do crazy things

When I come back home to Biloxi for a visit or for the summer from Baton Rouge, you can blindfold me while driving, and I'll tell you when I cross the state line.
