I guess I'm just a traditionalist when it comes to the band etc but I get your point. Whatever it takes to get the crowd and student section going

I do love the " beat the hell outta Alabama " sign

No offense taken. Hell, it's still a topic of contention on TexAgs, but it is what it is.

I love the entrance, and I'm not a Kanye West fan, and I am an absolute geek when it comes to how much I love the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band

Yup, I agree!

Me too. We do that for every opponent, though.

The "beat the hell outta........lamar" signs next year will be -worthy.

I think he's talking about our drum line that leads the team onto the field pre-game?

mediocre video

The intro to the SC State game is on YouTube and is much better quality. I actually listen to it every once in a while if I want to get pumped up while studying. SC State march of honor

I admit, I liked the band minus the piped in music entrance better.

That being said, love the new trend of giving everyone 12th Man towels and waving them to the drum beat. Looks badass.

See, people say that (not talking about you specifically), but back when we actually had the entrance like that (drums, then the announcer randomly and suddenly saying "here come your fightin' Texas Aggies!" and then the War Hymn immediately after that), people complained that it was anticlimactic. And they were right.

Me too. I think that kind of started for the 2010 Nebraska game

General Robert Neyland went there for a semester or two before transferring to West Point.

I came like three times that night

Never been so packed in anywhere in my life. I was under the second deck overhang and the sound was deafening under there.

I had an aTm hat during high school and it was the best fitting hat I have ever owned. I could never wear it in public, though. Too embarrassing.

I grew up going to A&M games with my dad because he went there, and for that I kind of understand the Aggie culture that other schools call cult-like. A lot of my co-workers went there. Nice folks.

First row of the track seating in front of the Corps section at about the 5 yard line. Got to rush the field after. Last game as an Aggie student. One of the top 5 greatest nights of my life, I shite you not

That may have been its rebirth but it wasn't the start. I remember them doing that for Nebraska in 98 and a couple other Maroon Out games.

Back in the 90s they didn't even have to give them away, EVERYONE had a 12th man towel.

Yeah, I meant the whole doing 12th Man towels to the drumbeat during intros, not the towels in general.

I remember Pepsi made a HUGE push to make more 12th Man towels and "Ag Rags" available for that game, and theirs and other efforts paid off big time. Still get chills thinking about the atmosphere that night. Surreal.

We were drum cadence 12th Man towel waving fools in the early 90s.
