Agreed. I don't know what would be better: the skill players on offense or the sheer speed/strength combo on defense.

I assume he meant Cam Sutton, and just accidentally typed Justin Coleman

Trey Flowers and Hunter Henry both should be 1st team IMO.

Coleman has gotten a lot of praise lately and given his improvement he deserves it BUT he's not the best by a long shot. HOWEVER, because of Cam most teams run their plays toward Coleman. That has given Coleman a lot of stats while Sutton has fewer.

It's hard for sports writers and outsiders to look at a stat sheet of players from all the teams in the conference and say, "look there at Sutton!" since teams are intentionally avoiding him. But as a corner he's doing his job and has basically shut down his side of the field. It just has the side effect of not showing up in the stats when no one throws your way anymore.

Sims outplayed Dak head-to-head. Dak cost his team that game.

I think you are confusing Dak with Dan Merlins

Leads conference in total defense, gets no first team defensive players.

Very young guys, like White, Godchaux, Lacouture,Beckwith and Adams were the best defensive performers for a fast improving LSU defense. They may get more mention on the Coaches teams but will have plenty of representation for the next couple of years. Imagine how well they'll do if the Tigers can eliminate about half of those 3 and outs. Pretty salty group.

Ray, Golden, and Barnett have played better than Flowers. Don't know about Smith and Garrett.

Well if Bo would have, so would Dak. Cooper until his 30 yard game on the final drive of the game only had 60 yards and no touchdowns against us. He wouldn't make State 14 points better against Ole Miss.

A lot of what Robert Nkemdiche does for us does not translate into stats. Driving O lineman back 7 yards, forcing runners and QBs to avoid him. It really had a lot to do with our defensive success.

Having said that I know that these things are about stats really so I have no problem with it.
