I will probably eat my words, but it’s almost like you can’t just spend a lot of money and glue together a championship team in baseball every year. Also why JUCO teams scrimmage minor league teams in the spring and routinely win.
Chemistry and playing for something other than yourself still means something.

Interesting. I didn’t know this.
I’m mildly interested in college baseball (though baseball is my favorite sport), and this brings up a question that you may or may not feel like answering: take a really good D1 team, like, say, Arkansas this year. At what level of the minors do you think they could compete?
