AU will never again reach the SECW championship with CGM at the helm. He has no specific game plan on a weekly basis, has no concept of utilizing the talent of his players, he has garbage at oline that will only get worse next season, and he surrounds himself with former yesmen players that wouldn’t be qualified to coach at the Alabama 7a level. L’s coming from LSU, UGA, UAT and the Bowl game... 8-5 the Gus norm

Auburn’s biggest problem has been OL recruiting the last few years. One bad hire and turnover at that position has hurt them.

Relax bro. You just have to give him time.

While we’re at it, when do we expect Gatewood to hit the portal?

Well....you did in 2013 and 2017, so....Florida was ready for you and played a great game. Give them the credit they deserve and don't give up on your own team. Nix is a true freshman and picked a bad time to play like a true freshman. It happens.

Gus has you sitting at number 7 in the country. Seems a little ungrateful to me

I fully expect him to be gone if he loses to LSU, Georgia, and Alabama.

What’s interesting is everyone is saying our freshman QB deserves some slack. Sorry, but that doesn’t fly when the last 3 national championship games have featured 4 different freshman QB’s in Tua, Hurts, Lawrence, and Fromm.

Gus can’t develop QB’s and his offense is inept due to poor recruiting.

This. Damn you OP for making me agree with a Georgia fan.

Auburn ran into a buzzsaw of a very hostile crowd with a green QB, a coach that put together a good plan, and a ferocious defense that is just as legit as the defense we trot out every week. That game came down to Florida making a few more plays where our guys didnt make the plays.

AU can't get anyone better and that's why he stays.

Otherwise you'll get stuck with your 3rd or 4th choice like LSU.

Nailed it. If Gus survives this season, 2020 will be his last unless he pulls in some ready-to-play SEC caliber offensive linemen via the grad transfer or JUCO route. The current starting line is IIRC, all seniors and they just aren't very good. If the folks behind them aren't good enough to get on the field now next year will be a bloodbath.

but look at his sweet moves, give him an extension and a larger buyout

seriously though, you are over reacting, Au lost a cross divisional game and all they need to do is develop their young qb, hope he plays better on the road, and they still have a shot at the west, all is not lost for Auburn

I mean he didn't throw the interceptions. UF had speed and played great defense, as a play caller he could only do so much. Plays were left on the field because UF sold out to stop the run and make a freshman beat them. It worked. Not all on Gus there.

Is Auburn still paying Chiz? So you want to pay Chiz, Gus, and new coach? You guys will never be Bama. Get over it and enjoy the Bama upset every 5 years. You will have a happier life.

You must give Malzahn credit for talking those draft eligible defensive linemen into turning down guaranteed seven figure money last year and coming back to the plains for another season. I mean that is remarkable.
