Make your case for your player to be drafted by the Saints:

-- AL -- Cody? Good pick at #32 in 1st round, or will he take his first paycheck to Western Sizzlin' and never be heard from again?

-- FL -- Pouncey (the one that plays center) ... worth a 1st round pick?

-- FL -- Spikes ... reformed, or still an eye gouger?

They'll all be gone before the Saints pick, except for maybe Pouncey.

Actually, Scott Wright of DraftCountdown.com has the Saints taking Pouncey in the first.

None of the above.

Dan Williams but he'll be gone before #32.
Sergio Kindle.....see above.

Best available LB or DL.

I would try and find the next Colston or Jahri Evans before taking a chance on any of those three - Cody will be a career weight problem, Pouncey is not a need area, and I would take McClain over Spikes!

Chad Jones. I've read on a couple of sites that the Saints think highly of him.

He's rated as the 32nd best player in the Draft according to Wright, so he'll probably be around when they pick.

If the Saints let Sharper go, Jones would be a great replacement.

Maybe but I still think he is a good pick at #32. He needs to play at about 335-340 to be effective. Right now he weighs 370. If Greg Williams continues to switch back and forth from a 4-3 to a 3-4, he would be a perfect nose tackle for a 3-4 defense. He is also the space eater we need next to Ellis. The guy is a player.

I sure hope the Saints dont go after Jones. He is NOT ready to play in the NFL. Should have stayed another year. About 1/2 the player of Laron Landry when he was drafted, and Laron can't cover when called upon.

I agree. Tons of potential but a late 2nd, early 3rd round pick.

Wouldn't mind seeing them trade away that late first round pick and maybe a third for an experienced free agent DE.

Lots of people are high on him. I think what would be a smart move would be to keep Sharper, and then if Jones is available, draft him and let him learn behind Sharper for a year or two and let Darren groom him to be his replacement. But we only need to do that if we miss on some of our other top targets earlier in the Draft.

And yes, I'm a Saints fan, and not a bandwagon one either. Been to a few games, mainly back in '07 when I was doing a lot of volunteer work down there.
