Pretty much all of the big public universities in the Deep South are situated near areas with crime problems. Kentucky and Missouri don’t really count because they’re technically not in the Deep South and they have different demographics compared with the rest of SEC schools.

They must be using crime statistics for only the campus because some of the schools I wouldn't leave the dorm

Why are people having such a hard time understanding this? ON CAMPUS…the mugging/shootings/robberies a block OFF campus don’t count.
