Validating your life through sports ftw

What the frick are you even doing on here if you feel the need to get pissy about people discussing various aspects of sports and their favorite teams? I mean, I get you find validation by pretending snobbery about the issue, but I would suggest actually getting off your arse and improving your own life is a much better long-term solution to your self-esteem issues.

You missed josh reed biletnikoff in 2001.

Saban would have never lost a championship game if he would have stayed at lsu. Too bad Saban lost the 2008 seccg

Who should have won instead?

Well, Suh would have won in 2009 like Mathieu should have won in 2011. You know, if the Heisman was actually given to the best player in the country.

However, if it's gonna be given to an offensive player like always, I had no problem with it going to Ingram.

I will agree that Suh was better than Ingram, but I think ultimately the reason he didn't get the votes was he only forced two turnovers on the season. Mathieu also had those brilliant punt returns on his resume, but nobody was going to beat RG3 that year. He was playing on another level with like only 2 primetime games all year and still got the votes. Kinda like Mariota this year.

Mathieu had one of the most impactful individual seasons of any defensive player in college football history. Especially when you include his special teams plays.

RG3 was just another great spread QB from the Big 12 or Pac 12. Those come around all the time.

I can only think of a few outside of him; McCoy (kinda) Chase Daniel (kinda) and Taylor Martinez. None of those guys were at a school as small as Baylor and none of them had the same numbers, so I think it's okay to forgive those that had RG3 a bit overrated.

While I agree, I don't have a problem with it going to RG3 that year because he did it with Baylor, a program that was not where it was now. He also made Kendell Hunter into a 1st round pick, help get their 1st win ever in programs history against Oklahoma, and beat Texas ( believe it was their 2nd in a row against them). Baylor did not have the talent they had now.

He won the Heisman because he beat an extremely overrated Oklahoma team on national TV.

The same Oklahoma team that Okie State shite housed two weeks later.

Yes, he played a great game. And he had a great season. But that game put him over the hump.

The Bama haters need to unite to and try to stick to one narrative.

The desperation of their arguments speaks to the level of their butthurt.

Alabama only wins because of talent.
Alabama isn't actually great, it's just a lot luck (7 years in a row apparently).
Alabama only wins because of the refs.
Alabama has an easy schedule.
Alabama had a good run but the Saban dynasty is over.

Guess you pick one depending on how bruised your vagina is that day.

Emotional jimmie rustling when it comes to sports produces bizarre and extreme cognitive dissonance.

Auburn fans actually try to talk smack to other teams for being lucky.

LSU fans actually try to talk smack to other teams for backdooring into a national title game.

Florida fans talking smack about FSU winning with thugs.

etc.

You need to add another to their list of arguments....schedules, and over signing, and processing.
