Saban tucked his tail and ran when NIL prevented him from stacking more talent

He was a great recruiter and that was the only way he was able to win. His strategy of stacking more talent than everyone else got destroyed by NIL. He knew he wasn’t going to be able to win by just pure coaching so he said I’m out. Good riddance!

He can’t cheat anymore with NIL so he quit.

Because he out recruited everyone else. That is why he won.

With the new playoff structure, he'd make the playoffs every season guaranteed.

As an LSU fan, I have to say this is BS. Saban was the best thing that every happened to LSU. He was a great coach and great recruiter. He's 71 freaking years old, and entitled to hang up his whistle.

Two words:

Dodge Chargers

Production of them ended this year too. Coincidence? I think not......

He was a great recruiter and LSU is in a rebuild. He got out coached and his arse beat by Daniels last year when Daniels was average at best AND SABAN HAD THE HEISMAN WINNER. You’re done.

That guy is scared of nothing. He’s the best to ever coach the game.

It's not so much in landing the players now as it is in keeping them. No more stacking 5* behind 5*, those players will now move on for money or playing time. Take your pick. Number 1 classes aren't that great when they're gutted the next transfer portal opening. We just saw this in losing Heard for probably both playing time and money. That has changed everything with college football. Georgia pretty much is the only team not hemorrhaging players so far. This had to have some influence on his decision. I'm not taking anything away from the great coach he is just, stating what's the new norm now.
