any buyout can be negotiated down.

but saban aint leaving / he likes it @ Bama / has a good team / restoring bama's and his own legacy. all of that will be shot if he left.

You are right, but it has never bothered him before.

I could easily see Saban going to Notre Dame.
He already turned down ND while at LSU. He will turn down ND again, especially after just in his 2nd year and a now 10-0 run.

Weiss gets two more years, Notre Dame hangs on a little too long, they always do. Then Saban goes to ND for 6.5 Mill a year and a percentage of the TV contract.

There are already a huge amount of rumors about him and PB jr not getting along. Also if he loses 3 games next year, the gumps lose their minds.

This is the only place he can go next. His kids will be out of the house, Terri will move back to WV and build a Mansion twice the size of the one in Bama for a 3rd of the cost, and he lives in a bunker apt on campus.

This is the only end to the escalating salary.

Sexton already has the proposal drawn out.

you never know with ND. they have a monster fan base and have some big money. It just depends how bad they really want to stay good.

they haven't won a bowl game since the early 90s, they keep going up and down every 2 to 3 years. they will eventually get pissed and pull a bama.

Saban might leave Bama for another job, but it won't be because of money. We'll match any offer.

he is going to leave. I doubt it is this year but it will be within 3 years. He will probably want to win at least 1 sec title and then leave the next year.

Now that is just stupid. You can't match any offer, regardless of what you may think. When he's averaging two losses a year and everyone in the Athletic Department and the boosters hate him, because they will; he wears on people and even people here will admit that. He will go to ND. No one can afford to pay him what ND can, private University, own TV contract, huge alumni base. New hire just in time to renew with NBC.

Then he'll go to South Bend and make fun about the Gumps in front of the Indiana media.

he wears on the people that have to deal with him from day to day. He doesn't really wear on fans. He wins and is pretty good with calming fears and looking like he is in control. the fans want to keep him but admins and players get worn out after a while. Eventually you have to see saban for what he is. He is a hired gun not a long term guy. He comes in and fixes shite quick and makes it better than he got there. He then leaves for a new spot.

Just because you are afraid of Saban doesn't mean he's gonna leave.

Alabama football makes a bundle of money and it doesn't matter what ND can offer him (if they offer), it matters how much they're willing to spend.

That is pretty close to what I said. Also, everyone knows it is not about the fans.

I'm sure CNS will eventually leave. But for the meantime, he isn't leaving anytime soon.....despite the prayer vigils being held by our rivals. Another stadium expansion will start at the end of this season as well as other upgrades to the athletic dept. All of this is due to revenue generated by having CNS as our coach. CNS will be around for at least 4-5 more years....and retire from coaching when he decides to leave the UofA. Even then, i suspect he will take over as our AD.

Do you really believe that Saban was anywhere near getting canned from LSU?

I'm not afraid of Saban, I believe his always good for at least 1 to 2 losses a year because he sits on a lead. I do think he is a program builder, but he makes it so hard on people that any time past 5 years makes it very hard on everyone around him.

I am not enamored with Miles and I am not a Kool-aide drinker. I think Saban is about Saban, nothing more.

He will leave when ND comes calling, because it will be a new challenge. He is a mercenary, plain and simple.

He won't get forced out at Bama. When he leaves, it will be because he wants to go.

never said he would be forced out. its hard to force out a guy like him that wins but he is not going to do what partsretard thinks will happen. he stays for 3 more years and moves on to another opening.
