This ^^^^^
Plus what happens next year when a kid says he wants his best friend to play but his best friend can barely make the scout team?
We are going to have issues with our 85 limit and there will be a class or two where we can only sign 18 or 20. Do you want to use a possible 5 star slot next year for a player that will never see the field? Not me.

Why don't you change your avatar to a girl YOU had sex with, instead of one that I boned for a year?

I really believe if we had known about the Zach situation say, a year ago, Saban would have offered him to get Keenan. No way we could ever know that for sure, but if Saban actually had some time to figure out how take the hit with the numbers to get Keenan, they'd be at Alabama right now. As it stands it was too late in the recruiting season to plan for such an occurrence.

26 != 28 why the hell didn't we take KA and his brother :banghead:
So instead of wasting 1 scholarship, we have 2 open spots to end the year... stupid stupid stupid.
So 26 != 28 < 25? Now I see where the 13 comes from.

You're a fricking moron. Do you know how tight we are with numbers? We can't afford to throw a scholarship because some entitled douchebag wants the Fredo of his family to get a free ride.

Why don't you go run your car into the Sipsey River? Since you live in Tuscaloosa I'm sure you can find it, if not I can have someone meet you at the Northport Wal-Mart and guide you the rest of the way. Saban gets paid millions to do his job and he just coached Alabama to it's first National Championship in 17 years so I think he knows what the hell he's doing. If you can do a better job than coaching a team to an undefeated 14-0 season and a National Championship, coaching the first Hesiman winner from Alabama and getting 3 top 5 recruiting classes in a row then go for it, otherwise know your roll and shut the hell up.

Better yet, why don't we hold on to those two schollies and use them for guys to backcount against this class next year, when the prep talent depth is supposed to be much deeper?
What the frick is wrong with some of these people? I don't know what recruiting service these posters works for, but I hope they stay the hell away from our board.

"why the hell didn't we take KA and his brother"
So you're willing to kick a national champion off the team so urkel can get a full ride and never contribute anyway?

I'm sorry, I have been shown the light. You crew of BOl'ers have really made it obvious. Of course Saban is perfect and doesn't screw up (see Bobby Williams).
He led us to a national championship so if he only wants to sign 5 guys next year I'm fine with that.
You can be critical of a successful man and still respect him.
Every year Saban has "trimmed the fat" why would we stop now, when that is what has led us to being the team we are? Take the best players you can, "the numbers will work out". You guys all said that last year and 2008 when we signed 30+.
I say worry about next year's class next year, and take what athletes you can get this year.

I'm pretty sure all fan bases have said your OP was off the mark. Hardly, BOL'ers....
I'll be the first to point out something stupid Saban does, I just don't believe this recruiting class is the shining example of his imperfection. In fact, it speaks volumes about how good of a recruiter he is.

And exactly where does Maynard fit into this line of reasoning? Cause he sure as shite isnt one of the best players we can get.

because to hell with them... that's why.
if they don't wanna play here, then i don't want to "entice" them to play here. they need to WANT to play here... not be titty-babied or catered to.
i'm glad of the class we got. and i'm glad they were mostly all early commits.

The word extortion comes to mind.
The family might have tried to "lay down the law to Saban.
What do you want him to do? fawn all over some loser to get Keenan, who would then think he was "the shite" and be a total problem attitude-wise?
Forget it. We have plenty of skill players.

I think at this point with KA's "handler" I am more comfortable that he didn't sign.

this will be a great recruiting yr. Talent in Bama and LA is up and we will attract more talented players this yr. That will be the only problem with a 28 limit but atleast we can sign 30 next yr if we can get an early commit or two that can back count towards this yr.

Unlike you I don't store my ex's pics on a unprotected Photobucket account and then get all pissy that my wife see them!
Plus, that night, you Cialas and your reactions were just too funny.

"Keenan's brother looks like a total douchebag in this video"
He said coach Tedford "puts a lot of quarterbacks in the league"
He thinks he's gonna play in the NFL

Well, he may play in the NFL. I mean after all Kiffin got the HC at USC in spite of an overall losing record as a head coach.
