While at the same time not saying a word about how the coaches (including him) can do better.

Has he ever been asked about his inability to build a quality Special Teams unit?

Well timed tantrum he knew would be shown on tv during the dumbest play of all the special teams fumble. Well timed tantrum. He doesn’t do them much anymore.

Would you rather a coach make up excuses for a loss or point out where his team went wrong? There are excuses and then there are reasons. Also he gets paid a kabillion dollars a year to coach football and he’s Nick Saban - I don’t think anyone questions his ability to coach so there’s no reason for him to state that he knows where he could’ve done better.

GOAT’s defense gave up 52 points. His defensive backfield broke down several times , leading to long touchdowns. He can still coach technique better than anyone in the game , but his scheme just doesn’t work against modern offenses with an athletic QB. It never has.

Golding was schooled and that was the difference in the game.

Left his safeties out to die in man coverage on a slot guy with speed.

There are two SEC level CBs he could’ve subbed in, one of whom might be the best man cover guy in the nation. You yank Hellams, insert Ricks, shift KoolAid to the slot and that is a 14 point victory.

Some people would’ve learned after 2 TD, Pete never figured it out after 5.

That and Bama could have easily won the game on that last drive with smarter play-calling.
You have the fastest player on the field in Gibbs and you don't run him outside or pass to him in space.

Didn’t see the game. Is Rick’s getting any significant playing time? I figured he would do well at Alabama.

Does not work against non-modern offenses either. Ask Jimbo.

He’s doing well keeping the bench warm

While I would have liked to see him run the ball at least once on that last drive, they did call up a good pass play to Gibbs on second down I think that would have won the game but Gibbs dropped the pass

I’m not sure he’s really figured out the system yet so he’s behind both Arnold and Jackson right now.

He didn’t need him to do anything but shadow Hyatt in man coverage last night and that’s a W.

Him and Holden both dropped TDs last night, seems to be who we are at this point.

bullshite. His scheme is fine. He needs to put a third corner on the field to cover the slot receiver instead of a safety. Problem solved. Also, I believe that's a Golding issue, not a Saban issue. Yes, Saban is ultimately responsible, but I bet you the change is coming. Saban has always been willing to change and adapt. That's why he's the GOAT.
