Florida ran the fullback option.

Auburn stopped Tim Tebow led QB option & we sucked balls.

OK so then is the argument that the offense can't be stopped or that it can be stopped but only if the teams sucks?

Exactly. That is a read option play which Florida also ran

Well, that's impossible.

Gus created the read option. Don't you know he is the Second Coming?

Nah, he is just the best O mind in the business today.

Might be a little difference in the two QBs speed...

Meh. It's always a different QB that "can't be stopped".

Like Manziel.

Against LSU: 1 TD, 5 INT.

Huh? With Tebow? Did they ever have a fullback on the field except in short yardage? That is ludicrous. A team like Ga Tech runs a fullback option. Florida's under Tebow ran a read option. Also called a triple option/QB read (triple: handoff to RB, QB run, pass the ball).

The last coach to beat Saban in back to back years was Les Miles in 2011.

The coach before him: Steve Spurrier while at Florida.

Gus has his work cut out for him.

Defenses always catch up, but Malzahn is diverse enough to make his offense continue to be difficult to stop. I'm not so sure about Sumlin.

Look at Spurrier. His offense was finally slowing down in the latter years at Florida. He has a more conservative version at USC and placates to his defense far more than at UF.

Agree. What Malzahn did was much more impressive than Sumlin in that he did it in the first year with a QB that was a DB.

Damn you dumb. He meant the Tebow was basically a fullback.

The difference between AU and UF is that in the UF system the QB was the one that ran up the middle (hence the FB comment) and those tiny RB ran to the outside. AU has a real RB that runs up the middle and the QB keeps the ball to the outside.

I don't see why Saban gets credit for redos. He's like the kid that cuts off the Nintendo before he loses and says it doesn't count and then beats you the second time.
