I knew Alabama people were dumb but if you believe anything he says you have taken stupid to a whole new level. If Alabama fails, he'll be looking at the next best thing.

How dumb do you think Saban is? Even if he is a dishonest person, why would he repeatedly go on TV and say he's not leaving just to turn around and leave? Why would he INTENTIONALLY have his reputation, legacy, and integrity ripped to shreds forever? Why would he do that?

BTW... This is a shakedown for $, pure and simple.

So you think saban needs to "shakedown" bama to get a raise? He could walk into their Pres. bathroom, while dude is taking a shower, and tell him he wants $9 mill. a year, and Pres. would write him a check.....before he got the shampoo out of his eyes. saban has no need to use any other school, or any NFL team, to get a raise, if he is after a raise.

If Saban leaves, it won't be for money.

He said once, in a local press conference, that he wasn't going to Alabama after being asked a million times every day for weeks.

That is the not the same as voluntarily going on widely-viewed national television broadcasts with Erin Andrews of FS1, Tom Rinaldi of ESPN Sports center, and 60 Minutes and being adamant about not leaving.

It's completely different, and you know it.

Well it worked. These emails are from January, just before the staff got a round of raises.

The only reason they are public now is an information request by the media.

Of course they know it. Getting them to admit it is a different story all together, though.

Every staff, worth a shite, gets a raise every single year. It's always in January also. This keeps them around for NSD.

Go back to ITAT please

His agent says he's under a lot of pressure. Fans not satisfied with beat down of Ole Miss of only 25 pts. I can understand the pressure because its never enough when you are that successful. Especially at bama. If I was a recruit I would think twice before I went there if you win and you're still not appreciated.

If he at least said something to the effect of "I know I was a huge flake before in regards to the Bama job, and I can understand your skepticism about my intentions, but I'm staying at Bama, for real." then I think people would back off.
