Thought it mild by Saban standards.
The back and forth with the Brit was funny.

How do you know what he was actually saying with Finebaum's %&$# in his mouth?

C'mon, this is BS because we all know Finebomb is the one on his knees.

I figured he was over the butthurt on HUNH.

Then he turns a generic question about defense into a soliloquy on the HUNH.

No. Eventually he'll get better at it than you are. Got pretty close this year.

Alabama actually did pretty well against Auburn when they went HUNH on Saturday night. More often than not Alabama stuffed the plays they ran when they went fast. Auburn's biggest successes against our defense on Saturday actually came when they went slower.

Auburn doesn't even run it all the time -- far less than people realize. If he truly thinks Auburn's HUNH is so turrible, he'll have a full blown meltdown if he faces Oregon.

The hunh was not the problem. Coats and Duke Williams was the problem.

This^^^^....they got most of their yards by chuking it down field against a banged up Eddie Jackson.....most of Gus' offensive got stuffed. I'd say Saban also figured out the HUNH by run by hiring kiffin and running a train on thier shitty defense.

I agree. That's one of the reasons I don't understand all the griping about the HUNH. Saban's criticism of it is really based on the style of defense he prefers, imo. He doesn't want to give up his larger slower players for smaller speedsters on D because to do so would present problems on D against more traditional offenses. The HUNH presents a conundrum for all DCs and HCs in that it forces you to adapt or compromise on the defense and personnel you prefer in order to defend against it and other O's.

However, in the IB the problem had little to do with tempo and everything to do with Coats and Duke.
