Surely you don't mean here. If you mean in the media it's because everyone is afraid of being shut out by him, and guess what, typically reporters wnat to talk to the #1 team in any league.
I think Les and Nick whine the same amount, it's just the difference in how those respected fanbases run with it. Bama fans typically realize his 'injury' statement is bullshite...lsu fans just move onto the next thing to bitch about.

as a third party observer, this is proof positive that someone who is so convinced their own cause fails to see the whole picture for what it is.

All big time college coaches are whiners. They wouldn't be doing their jobs if they weren't. They are operating in a system in which they have no control. None whatseoever. The ADs and school presidents make the rules to satisfy thwir own bidding. That is why the coaches whine. You do not see it as much in the NFL because when it comes to on the field issues, the owners follow the recommendations of the competition committee, which has actual coaches and football people on it. (Plus the minute an NFL coach even thinks about complaining, he is given a massive fine by the league)
