Hey Barner! Why don't you worry about your savior QB!!
Saban has said multiple times that he likes this team and their makeup. He has the leaders he wants on both sides of the ball. As far as productivity goes, could it be cleaner on offense? Yes! F$U was a pretty damn good defensive team and there wasn't any sense in going beyond page 2 of the playbook against Fresno.
Defensively, they have had a couple of injuries that require the next man up to "grow up"!! They throttled a talented F$U team once again and Fresno did a good job getting the ball out of their QBs hand quickly to avoid hits and turnovers. Once Fresno got anywhere close, the defense gave their boa constrictor impression and kept them out.
As for the special teams, JK Scott is kicking the damn ball in the end zone and eliminating most returns. As far as his punting goes, when we punt from midfield or our own 40, the idea is to pen the opponent close to their own GL. He has done that extremely well!! Thus, his average has taken a hit.

Bama is exactly what I thought they would be, need to improve in certain areas, not get hit with injury bug again and should be right there at the end with a chance

Yep, but the lucky thing for Bama is that I dont see many challengers yet. Too early to tell for my Tigers as to whether they are contenders or pretenders.

Not so much 2015. If we are being honest all teams since 2012 have been slightly below those during that 4 year run or so.
oline hasn't been the same level since then, defense got back to that level over the past two years after a two year step down while still being a great d.
I think the d has the chance to maintain a very high standard and be dominant. Offense will hopefully improve as people more comfortable in with the first year OC. Its nice to see them hitting a few deep balls again, o-line and hurts need to continue to improve.
Really its the same as most years, maybe a few more question marks to start out. Get some people step into a leadership role, some young guys step up to fill in for people who left and have a few lucky breaks along the way and should be right there come January.
