Fair enough. He has to know the ATL loser is out, by rule. He's a smart guy so the only thing I can think of is if there is an extremely close competitive game (say 1 point) the loser may somehow retain that the #3 spot. But even then it seems best to wait till actual outcome as opposed to being premature.

I don't have any issue with him voicing the opinion that helps his team at any given time, any coach would do the same. What I Do have an issue with:
He did this last year, talking about how it would be unfair to LSU's team if he didn't get what he wanted.
I don't understand why people don't raise this more. When in the frick do coaches ever talk about what's fair or good for somebody else's team or program.
That points to a level or arrogance that I can't even wrap my head around. Glad Muschamp responded. I wish that last year Miles would've told him to mind his own business and not speak for LSU's team. In no way does he have the right to speak for anybody except Alabama.
