Just curious, but do people really think that coaches like Miles and Malzahn are somehow scared of Saban? Unless you are a coach or player who depends on his program for a roster spot or a job why would you honestly be scared of him? Of course somebody referred to him on here as Coach Saban which I thought was kind of funny.

I mean hell, we might not ever win a game again. Be lucky to make a bowl game next year.

Kirby agrees with Saban.
He pushed for Davis.

Brilliant
Young players confidence is a huge thing and if Saban can restore all that by placing this past years shortcomings on something not around anymore. You do it for the psyche of those younger players. Gotta have them believing they can be Champions, and no team should ever think they don't need to improvement.

Plus, there could be actual truth to all this

You are taking the word "scared" literally. They feel trepidation and anxiety when Alabama comes up on their schedule...plain and simple.
And what should you call the best college football coach in the country? I'll bet every coach at that AFCA convention (outside his personal friends) calls him "Coach" Saban.....and you would too, if you met him.

You've been on a full blown melt for nearly 2 months now. How much do you have left in the tank?

He's taken credit before. When a guy says "we" that includes himself. His whole mentality (which is the right one to have mind you) is always find out what you did wrong, because that is why you lost. If you even begin to admit another team is better, you're a shitty competitor.

I guess you're gonna have to explain the word "melt" to me. If you'll look back on my posts, you'll find little change in style or substance. Not much different when Alabama is undefeated and ranked #1, or 11-2 and #7.

Mitch Sherman ? @mitchsherman Follow Saban asks coaches if they have questions. No one raises hands. Like little kids scared of the teacher. Pretty cool.

That's rather pathetic. I've gone to conferences/conventions with keynotes from the experts in their industry and people are lining up to ask questions.

For a group that's supposed to be leaders. Wow.

I thought Saban's comments bout his yrs under Belichek (?) were telling, in that the two of them are two peas in a pod, personality & coaching style wise. If he was "miserable" then, he should stop and consider how many of his former/current coaches feel coaching under him. And don't say they all love and admire him, as they don't, not by a long shot.

Have you totally lost your memory or just your mind? Have you forgotten so quickly last season and all the excuses we had to hear why you lost ALL of your SEC games, and if you hadn't have had 3 cream puff games, you would have gone winless?
You had a great season this year, and should be very proud, but sit back and be a little humble, because mouthing off is just going to come back and bite you in the butt. Remember, what happened after you bragged so much after the 2010 season.

Saban is just saying he needs to take the boys to dinner more often.
