Unless it is linked, I agree with y'all and call BS. Saban has been pretty vocal about the BCS system and there's proof, much of it already linked. If Bama ends up #2 in the final BCS poll, they deserve to be there. Fair or not, it is what it is.

Dubious at best.

Some have even said on here that if they lose to BAMA that it should be a split national championship.

Obviously, it should. That has nothing to do with reality. Alabama should not be in the big game (lack of accomplishments). That also has nothing to do with how shite plays out in real life.

I swear I remember some coach saying this a couple years back, and it would make since with that season with what was happening for the BCS game, however without anybody being able to find it, who knows.

It's allegedly from an article titled "Saban ready for Oklahoma" which was written by a columnist for the St. Louis Daily Dispatch in 2003.

If that's the case it should be pretty damn easy to find.

Question:

Why would Saban say that about a team he's about to face in the NCG?

Put your crap aside. Saban has class and is over-complimentary of every team. At LSU and Bama. Do you really see him saying this?

False. A recent example.. passing for a TD up a huge amount vs Georgia Southern instead of taking a knee to end the game

True. But mainly because it makes his team look better.

No, but it's fun.

It was classless though. Necessary evil IMO. Mike Leach is one of my favorite coaches.. of all time.. class doesn't matter to me at all

This LSU fan doesn't remember him saying that. Would also have to see a link to believe it.

Bama is deserving of the skull fricking (and kicking) Jordan Jefferson will give the Tide this time around while the flunkie they call a QB is taking more sacks and hits. AJ will be out of this game by the 2nd quarter similar to Colt McCoy

You're a fn idiot. Your mediocre qb has quit twice against Bama. Odds are he'll quit again and you'll have to bring in scaredy cat.

He got injured during the refjob of 2009. When is the last time he quit?

Your OL is going to quit again

There's no question this has been discussed. It's always been thrown out because there are many legitimate reasons for a non-champ to still be #1 or #2.

Hell, if LSU loses on Saturday, I'm really hoping that the LSU Athletic Department doesn't turn down a BCS NCG bid because of it.

Exactly. Very unlikely that Georgia beats LSU, but if they do then LSU didn't win their own conference either. National Champ game between Georgia and Oklahoma FTW!

Saban's blatant hypocrisy.

Blatant hypocrisy is preaching against screwing your secretary after checking out of a hotel room a few hours before your sermon.

Having an opinion and changing your opinion years later after gaining more experience in the matter is being open-minded. Didn't you learn that in college?
