You all got lucky he was available when you needed a coach. The day he leaves though you all will remember what coaching searches are like.

Oh, I don't think we have forgotten what it's like.

You can't live through the Fran, Price, Shula years and forget it.

Like proving that you can continue to play boring, blowout games while simultaneously convincing the lowest common denominator to pay $45+ ticket prices to watch.

That's about all he really has left to accomplish.

I never really thought Saban was the type to be content in being worshipped by the worst America has to offer, but maybe I'm wrong. Thought his ego would crave worship from some higher life forms.

Sometimes its helpful to have a history lesson. Until Texas names someone else as new coach, you can never be sure.

quote:

Here’s the sad part: the media will bother him about it again, this until the Tide names someone else to the job.

It’s sad because those who are familiar with Nick Saban’s reputation as a leader know that he is not a quitter nor untrustworthy, a common theme across every head coaching job he has ever had.

Yes, he stretches the truth about the health of a player from time to time. This he does in the competitive best interest of the team. But such fibs are not at the level of jeopardizing one’s personal integrity.

So when Saban tells team owner Wayne Huizenga, a man he respects immensely, that he’s not going anywhere, we can take it to the bank.

I don't really want Miles, but it would be worth it just to see the reaction from LSU fans.

How glorious would it be for Les to beat Saban at home - his last year in Bama.

It took a snake in the grass (Huizenga) to lure him away from LSU and he regretted it the day after he left I believe
