didnt exactly tear it up as a freshman though. Thats why I originally posed the question. completed less than 50 percent of his passes...

Like I said we had Casey F'n Dick for four years.

Hell he had 29 yards passing in a game once.(lsu)

Lots of haters I see. Interesting knowing that almost all of you LSU fans have given JJ not only the benefit of the doubt but All-SEC type numbers predictions.

We'll settle this on the field...that goes for you too, Ole Pissers.

I think he'll be good this season (not as good as Snead last year) just needs more around him eventually

3-17. One completed pass to a WR.

Gah, could you imagine if we had A DECENT QB on that 2006 squad instead of Dick and Bitch Cumstain?

He will be our best qb we've had in quite some time.

Like comparing CTJ to Coach Brady.

Hog fans, take that CD shite talk back to Hogville. Good God. Why must any Hog QB thread inevitably reduce down to freaking CD's failure and MM wrond doing (just a matter of time before he is factored in this thread somehow...)

This is a pretty safe bet. I don't remember the last time 'if he has a good season he'll be gone' was said about an Arkansas QB, much less one who is a RS soph.

Well, this is a thread about an Arkansas quarterback.

And if we had a half-way decent QB in 2006, we would have gone to the BCS Title game.

Sao, if you are referring to me you can shove it up your arse. I'll reference any Razorback player I want to on any board and I don't need your permission to do so. I don't belittle players I just state facts.

This is what I said about Dick in case you missed it and there is nothing inaccurate about my post. However, I should have qualified my Division 1 statement as a major Division 1 player instead of a Division 1 player.

I only want Mallet to be better than what we've had in the recent past and to be as good as he is capable of being this year. If it's significantly better, then that’s great. You have to remember the numbers Dick put up last year with 3 true freshmen WR contributing heavily and not much depth at the RB spot, especially when Smith went down.

I’m not trying to belittle Casey Dick’s abilities, but he was no Division 1 QB. He just didn’t have the arm strength or the ability to quickly read a defense and call the right audible. Mallet has both and then some.

So it's wrong to expect the MVP of a blowout bowl game win to have a great season? Especially when he did it as a true freshman? And who almost needed a medical redshirt for an injured shoulder?

Really?

I fully expect Mallet will have a great year, and Arky will have a winning season, and maybe go to a bowl game.
