I love how now with the internet one source and one "report we have been unable to confirm" equals a printable story. I've never been a fan of most journalists, but this kind of garbage makes the Woodward/Bernstein types even look bad. Unfortunately for Mallett this shite may cost him some serious $$.

I didn't realize Cecil was entering the draft? Sure hope Mark Ingram's frick-up dad doesn't cast a shadow over him.

I had no idea Cecil and Mark Ingram's dad stole laptops and got in trouble for cheating at Florida and then lied to the NCAA about whether or not they knew their dad was shopping them around to prospective schools.

really? am i the only person NOT surprised by a college student doing drugs?? At any school??

I'm guessing all of these people so shocked never went to college? or high school for that matter. oohh the horror.

I dont get it. Im not so stupid to believe that these kids never touch a drug. Can't say I give a shite as long as they are good students and performing well on the field.

Not even remotely close to the same context i was using with that sentence.

You also don't realize Cam knew what his dad was doing.

But then you say, "but Cam says he didn't know and there's no proof he knew! How can you give Mallett the benefit of the doubt but not Cam?"

Then I say "Because Mallett doesn't have a history of lying in order to cut corners. Mallett's never been caught trying to hide the evidence of a stolen laptop, and he's never lied in trying to pass off someone else's work as his own in college. Plus, it's just common sense that tells me Cam knew what his dad did, common sense is what tells the rest of the country outside of Auburn that Cam knew. It's not common sense that Mallett did drugs based off unknown sources, rumors, and a public intox and no history of failed drug tests."

Mallett was never suspended. His off the field "issues" involve one public intox and internet rumors...

In the past we have had huge stoners, that everyone knew liked to blaze that shite everyday. Never mentioned before the draft...

I don't see an issue with you guys defending your guy but how many drug tests did Matt Jones fail at Arky? Guess he just picked it up after college.

Houston Nutt is no longer our coach...that is the difference. We've already booted 3 for being caught one time with weed under Petrino. Granted they were not of Mallett's status, but Petrino doesn't play with this shite

He picked up the coke habit in Jacksonville.

He quit blazing it up his junior year...

If there were anything to any of this, the "sources" would be capitilizing on it. Why not get paid to come forth? Surely Cowturd would pay them...

Yes, I do think that Cowherd does some things to stir up shite for ratings. But in this case he is basically agreeing with what Peter King (a supposed serious sports journalist at SI) wrote on Tuesday. I think the initial proliferators of this are more guilty than those whose continue to repeat it. I am an LSU fan and I hate Arky with a passion, but until someone can show me a positive drug test or other concrete evidence showing that Mallett is a druggie, this kind of throw crap and see what sticks journalism makes me

Should make us all sick. Bama. AU. UGA. Tenner. LSU... everyone. Sadly that's not how it works. When topics such as this don't include the team logo "we" sport, it's yucks all around. Eventually, the worm turns... The media in general sucks.

Maybe Mark Cuban is on to something...

Why do people care so much for players once they leave the program? Particularly people like Mallet and Newton, who played two and one season(s)?

They are gone people, they don't play for Arkansas or Auburn anymore.

I got stoned with Matt Flynn DURING the 07 season one night after the bar. It was his weed and his pipe. Obviously he quit, but my point is people take that smoking weed in college shite too seriously.

Mallet is scaring people off because he is white trash, dumb, and has feet that are set into concrete. He tries to talk like a black gang member when the cameras are off too, which most everyone who has been around him can testify to.

This is truth right here. I wonder though, if mallett looked the same but just talked normal of we would be having this talk right now.
