IIRC, this is the same guy who dropped out of high school and got a GED because of conflicts with the school and his family thinking that's what he should do. From there he went to JUCO. No one likes to talk about it because JUCOS we go after are high reward players but they're also higher risk and it was only a few years ago that JUCO players had such a high stigma that JUCO recruiting was seen as a desperation move because those players had such a bad rep once they entered 4-years that no one wanted them (that changed when a few programs in BFE built decent programs by raiding the Kansas Juco farm system and because our desire for the occasional Cordarelle Patterson outweighs the risks of guys that might have issues).

Thanks. I asked on the team board if he was a known shite head. It sounds like this was a pretty disrespectful move for him. And especially dumb considering the reason he was arguing.

He would still have to sit out a year b/c he enrolled in a summer class at tenn.

You can be given a release and play right away at another school only if the coach signs it without restriction AND you haven't attended a class. Technically, you can enroll even, move into the dorm, but nothing is final until you go to that first class. The vols had a guy from Byrnes HS a few years back who moved up there, but then Kiffen left, so he moved out before his first class.

Is it possible that volfan30 trolls us more than any other fanbase?

Butch did a shirtless chest bump with him and told him "it's all good dog".

IDK signing JUCO players is really still seen as desperation IMO. It means you fricked up somewhere along the way.

Most times you find a solid guy, but nothing special - just somebody that briefly masks deficiencies as a temporary solution. AU situation's is different than what I would consider recruiting JUCOs. They signed two guys recently who were known to be extremely talented, but were dismissed form their prior teams.
