I don't think New Orleans will get a bid at this because they already host the Sugar Bowl which has a tie-in with the SEC.

Damnit almost made it all offseason without this thread started by an LSU fan. And yes, I know not all LSU fans want the game "rotated," but every time the idea of rotating a championship venue comes up, the thread is inevitably started by an LSU fan and New Orleans is the first alternative.

Pretty sure the admin moved this thread from the rant for some reason.

think the game should rotate, but it won't. atlanta is:
2 hours from auburn
3 1/2 hours from tuscaloosa
5 hours from gainesville
5 hours from oxford
1 hour from athens 3 hours from knoxville
3 hours from columbia
3 1/2 hours from nashville
4 1/2 hours from starkville

Vandy and Ole Miss aren't considered when discussing the SECCG's location.

Rotation is silly. Every program would want a piece of that pie, and very few cities actually have the infrastructure to support the SECCG.

BUT They could add Dallas to the mix and then make it East versus West, whichever division had the higher winning percentage versus the other the previous year hosts the SECCG.

I'd like to see them do the same thing in basketball.

I'm open to other cities besides Dallas.

Atlanta is fine. The SECCG is a great event and Atlanta is a great host for it. It ain't broke, don't fix it.

Atlanta has plenty of culure, not on the level as NOLA, but it's got just as much if not more than most big cities. Just have to get out of downtown and to the neighborhoods surrounding it.

Both the Big XII and the Big X conferences rotate their championship games.

PAC12 CCG is home stadium of best record also.

To me that makes it too hard for fans to make plans. What if records are neck and neck until the last week of the regular season?

Has anyone noticed that the only fanbase that bitches about the location of the SECCG is the LSU fanbase?

Seriously. This thread is always started by a LSU fan every offseason. It just took longer than usual for it to hit TD this year compared to years past.

The only way LSu fans will be happy is if the SECCG is moved to NOLA, the Bama game has to be played in Tiger Stadium, and Florida is taken off their schedule....

Can we just give these guys a trophy already so they will quit their crying?

To be fair, why would either Ms school, Vandy, Kentucky, Mizzour, A&M , or lately Tenner care where the game is played. They aren't gonna be there.

Don't forget the college football HOF is going to be built there as well.

YES! I think Omaha has way more culture than Atlanta, which is why I said it.

i live in atlanta....and no it's not "easy" like baton rouge airport is easy to get in and out of but it's easy in the sense that it's easy to get a cheap flight into atlanta because it's the biggest airport in the united states

That's a drawback if tiebreak comes down to who is highest in a poll. I hate the idea of anyone outside of conference influencing decisions regarding the conference champion.
