Why is it the worst idea ever? Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, ... need I continue?

You do know none of those schools are in the SEC right?

This would draw in recruits from further west to the SEC in more busloads.

No it wouldn't.

Texas is a huge football state

So is Pennsylvania, should we have it at Heinz field too?

it's unfortunate it's not in the SEC already.

You do know what the SEC stands for right?

Why would you rotate two areas that are way outside of the SEC in Dallas and Miami? Why would you go to New Orleans when the SEC sends a team to the Sugar Bowl every year? I like Nashville but not enough to risk losing Atlanta to the ACC.

Why does a rotation even matter. How many teams other than Florida go to the SECCG more than once every 5 years. As it stands now most of the SEC won't see Atlanta more than once in the next five years. We don't need to rotate the venue because we're always rotating the teams.

That being said Dallas is terrible for the SEC East. Miami is terrible for the SEC West. Birmingham is about as close as possible to central but the stadium is such a giant dump it isnt worth it. New Orleans at least makes sense but you already have the Sugar Bowl a few weeks later. Moving outside of Atlanta really makes no sense.

Why would you have a BCS NCG in different areas of the country? It's not about what team travels where. It doesn't matter if the Dallas game is bad for the East maybe it's good for the West & vice versa for Miami. You want good venues with attractions and infrastructure to atract people and fans from all walks of life. The SECCG would be a major talent recruiting tool for all these Miami kids we missed out on in the late 90s early 2000s. Or all these Kids from Texas or further West we always miss out on. This would push SEC awareness further more and support our argument that we are the Best & Strongest conference in the nation. Good venues and cities attract people and fans alike. These games aren't always about if they can get 60000 Alabama fans to go to the Alabama SECCG game. It's about getting 70,000+ football fans in the venue.

Austin and Dallas have plenty of LSU love.

If the SEC picked up the Aggies, then it would make some sense. Right now the SEC is not relevant in Texas. It is Big 12 country except a little bit of LSU love in Houston.

Texas borders two SEC schools. Pennsylvania? Not even f'ing close!

Dallas is a badass city with a badass stadium. I wouldn't have included it on the list in 2008, but with JerryWorld, and it's proximity (remember, it borders two SEC schools), it should receive consideration.

The best idea? Expand Vaught-Hemingway to 80,000 and make it the permanent site. Ole Miss and Mississippi State have been to the SEC Championship a combined one time. Oxford, MS is practically the center point of all SEC campuses.

Just put it in the center or rotate that bitch.

Artwicklu, Sorry, I am with Saleen on this one. I for one when taking these trips to SEC Championship games are looking at the trip as more than a football vacation. I usually meet groups of friends from diffrent states and we like to have a great time in the town itself. Totally burnt out on Atlanta. Now Miami, would be awesome to enjoy the game then go out in the town of Miami, or Dallas, and hang out with Friends. Not a big fan of the Nashville site though. Rotating would seem a lot more interesting.

Move the stadium about 500-600 miles east and I'd love it.

Because the teams are picked from the entire country. It is a conference championship and not a bowl. If Ohio State decides to play for the SEC Championship, then we should talk about moving the game a bit.

No you want as convenient a location as possible for the whole conference. Part of being a good venue is that it is within the boundaries of your conference.

The SEC is not relevant in Texas. The SECCG will not change that. Without picking up Texas, ATM, or OU people will not care. I promise you it just doesn't matter to people. The Big 12 hates hearing about SEC dominance. It isn't a secret to them. Playing the SECCG in Dallas wouldn't change that.

Your really starting to stretch here.

Texas is still southeasterly located. It's not like we are going to be headed to Amarillo, Odessa, or El Paso.

Ok, maybe it was a stretch to compare the BCS NCG to this term...

Not really. Austin is all burnt orange. Dallas is way more OU than LSU. LSU has some fans in both but not enough to matter.

Heinz field is probably closer to most SEC schools than Dallas.

Austin may be burnt orange, but Dallas is the flavor of the week. Lots of bandwagon jumpers there. On KDFW 4 in Dallas, LSU is showcased on the sports portions of newscasts regularly.

So you want the SEC Championship to be played in the Bermuda Triangle?

Easily the dumbest post in this thread, if not this entire board.

You need a map.

Dallas to Birmingham is 636 miles.

What does Atlanta plus 500 have to do with anything? The poster said move Cowboy stadium 500 to 600 miles east and he'd love it.

Screw it. I think we should move the game to Houston because it would save me money.

Ok, you aren't sold on the Dallas idea.

Why not rotate it? Atlanta is nice, but it's not that nice.
