yeah Saban sucks. teams would be stupid to hire him as their coach.

it's a fair point.

Petrino gets blasted for leaving ATL, but Saban gets a pass.

I support Ron Jaworski's opinion on Nick Saban 100%. Saban told a bold faced lie and no one in the NFL should want a liar coaching their team.

Saban waited until the year was over. A lot of coaches change jobs after the year is over. Petrino left in the middle of the night during a game week. I know you're not very smart, but surely you can see a difference.

But if he has no integrity how can he be successful? Jaws said people with no integrity can't succeed.

I hope more NFL folks feel exactly the same way about Saban. Honestly, no professional team needs a liar at the helm. They need honest, trustworthy, men of integrity to lead their team.

One of good friends father played with Jaworski at the Eagles and he said Jaworski is disliked all through out the league. Veterans and current. Says he's like that guy that comes around even though nobody invited him.

So because he told one lie, (that we know of, and none of us know if he was planning to stay at Miami at the time he made the statement) he's now a liar?

Basically all RJ said was that saban lied about going to alabama which is true.

This is true to an extent. Saban really avoided the question for weeks with coach speak like "i have a job here and that's all i'm focused on". He was pushed and pushed (by LeBatard, I think) for a specific yes or no when the reporter said, "you've not said that 'no, i'm not going to coach at Alabama'..can you say that definitively?"

Saban then said something along the lines of, "well if i gotta say it then i guess i'll say it. i'm not gonna be the coach at alabama". it is a double standard in media. I wish just once a coach would turn it around on the reporter and say "You've been approached by the Boston Herald, Dan, and there is a chance you leave Miami for that job. Why won't you give us a specific yes or no on that right now?"

Some truth to this. There's a reason he isn't on Monday Night Football any more, but he's still at ESPN. He had zero impact on ratings b/c he offered nothing to the program in large part to how he's perceived in the league and that comes across quite easily to viewers.

He's right, and this irks me about all coaches who do the ole "oh I'm not talking to anyone else" dance when we all DAMN WELL frickING KNOW they are. Employer and employee ought to have the maturity and respect for one another to openly admit that coaching is a job, and coaches owe it to their families to at least entertain new job offers, without having to hide and lie about it.

Yeah, and have you seen him on ESPN? When Merril Hodge makes you look like an idiot on a daily basis you're in bad shape.

I mean Jaworski thinks Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the league. Wait what? Tom Brady and Payton Manning tells you to go frick yourself Ron. That's how I know he's an idiot.
