I was going to say Ron Franklin but then I read this...

Ron Franklin is the GOAT and an OM grad,

I'm very conflicted now.

I love Franklin and Uncle Verne. I'd rather listen to white noise overlaying a football game than Tim Brando.

Has Ron done any broadcasting since ESPN gave him the boot?

Ron Franklin is OK.

Sentimental choice for me is Verne, because he did the local sports when I was a small kid. Without looking it up that gives you an idea - he's ancient. I hope he retires soon before the hate gets stronger.

I don't care much for Tim Brando but he doesn't annoy me as much as he does others.

If I had my choice I'd go with Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge.

I also like Andre Ware because he hates A&M and every time he speaks about A&M, we get a video of Aaron Wallace ripping his helmet off and showing it off like a trophy.

I remember Ron as the sports anchor at kprc in Houston. He was good.

He was also insufferable when he called an A&M/Texas game.

That being said, he is a voice of football from my more youthful days and I would like to hear him again provided he hasn't lost it.

I do too.
And I agree.
Different persona entirely.

He was insufferable when he called any A&M game--not just the UTex games.
